The recent formation of the Governing Council of the Federal Polytechnic Ede, Osun State seems memorable.
The National President of the Alumni body, Mr. Bashir Shittu Olaleye made the list of wonderful members of the highest decision making organ of the school, and to everyone’s amazement and amusement, the ready-to-work Council swung into action(s).
The inaugural meeting of the Council, graciously attended by our workaholic and up and doing President of the Alumni, witnessed preliminary interventions and administrative familiarization. The Council consolidated with the members of the Polytechnic community, paying wonderful homage to the King (Timi of Ede) and other traditional council chiefs.
It was also a bright opportunity for the Council members to meet with the School’s Academic board and the three staff unions on campus – ASUP, SSANIP and NASU respectively.
The President of the alumni body, after the inauguration process extends his solidarity to all members of the alumni, and appreciates them for reposing their confidence and trust in him.
The President calls on members of the alumni association to assist him with developmental ideas, opinions and strategies that can rejig the status quo, and render the representation of the alumni in the Council more worthwhile than before.
