THE FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC EDE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

On Thursday 3rd of May, 2018, the management of great Polytechnic Ede received the executives of the FPE Alumni Association led by Comr. Shittu B. Olaleye, the Rector, Dr. John Taiwo Adekolawole welcomed everyone to the maiden meeting between the Polytechnic management and the Alumni Association.

Speaking at the meeting, the president of FPE Alumni Association, Shittu B. Olaleye expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the management for the audience granted them and the confidence reposed on them as a trailblazing association, the Alumni President, however, described the visit as timely, he expressed the resolution of the association to complement the effort of the Polytechnic Ede in advancing her objectives to the much enviable height.

Similarly, addressing the distinguish executives of the association, the amiable Rector Dr. John Taiwo Adekolawole applauded them for the initiative to give back to the alma mater and the zest to carry the emblem of the great Polytechnic Ede. The prominent Rector also used the meeting to highlight some of the notable progress made so far by the institution, among them are: self-possession of the North-campus for Part-time and Distance Learning Programme predominantly, Introduction of scale farming plantation of cassava, Extraction and processing of Omega – 3 Oil from fish farm for internal revenue generation, Engagement of building technology students for execution of furniture works in the school among others.

However, in the dwindling economy, as fight against unemployment among unemployed Alumni were keenly discussed, in response to this, the distinguish Rector stressed that there has been total support to complement the goals of the erudite association, he added that just of recent the management employed notable numbers of Alumni to the school system and however redeemed his commitment in giving necessary support to the body as it is a virtue courtesy to imbibe.
